BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ARCHITECTURE
Background
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
As an integral part of the University of the Assumption, whose purpose is to produce Christian architects and interior designers of the highest competence, creativity and integrity the Department of Architecture and Interior Design aims to fulfill the following:
- To equip students with sufficient architectural and interior design concepts and principles in building design, integrating up-to- date technological ideas, and harmoniously blending them with the users and the environment;
- To enhance the student’s social and spiritual formation in preparation for the demands of modern architectural and interior design practice;
- To inspire students to practice self-reliance and independent thinking for them to be able to devise new and imaginative avenues of enhancing their profession without losing sight to their Christian outlook; and
- To instill the highest degree of ethical and professional conduct through better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of their profession in nation building.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING
Background
The Department of Computer Engineering, under the College of Engineering and Architecture, aims to produce competent, ethical, community-oriented Christian Engineers who will play a key role in effective design, improvement, installation, operation and maintenance of integrated physical, technological, economic and social systems, situated either locally or internationally.
- To produce Computer Engineers equipped with moral and professional values and awareness to the needs of the society and the immediate community they are about to serve;
- To provide Computer Engineers Students with the knowledge on electronics and electric circuit analysis and other Engineering Principles, Concepts and Methods for them to apply on development of innovative applications, such as automation and robotics;
- To develop a strong foundation on computer hardware and software concepts and the utilization of computers for the introduction and development of technology beneficial to the society;
- To equip students with the current trends in computer society that will strengthen them in facing the challenges on their field of endevour. By stimulating and experiencing the actual processes and activities involved in their course.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING
Background
The Department of Industrial Engineering, under the College of Engineering and Architecture, aims to produce competent, ethical, community-oriented Christian Engineers who will play a key role in effective design, improvement, installation, operation and maintenance of integrated physical, technological, economic and social systems, situated either locally or internationally.
Specifically, the department aims:
- To initiate or to take part in programs, projects and activities which are intended to share the benefits and blessings of the Industrial Engineering profession to the less – privileged sectors of our community;
- To contribute to the socio – economic progress of the Filipino nation, especially in the areas of personnel development , applied research, wage and systems development and the promotion of quality-of- work-life to employees in the service and manufacturing sectors;
- To be a change contributor in the pursuit of operation excellence especially in an era where “value for money” and “out-of- the-box” ideas are the accepted wisdom and entwined in a global stadium;
- To instill in the minds of its graduates the importance of professional development, expanding the frontliners of knowledge through research, thus, constantly polishing skills so as to remain competitive in a highly dynamic and innovative field of industrial engineering.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN CIVIL ENGINEERING
Background
The Department of Civil Engineering, under the College of Engineering and Architecture, aims to produce competent, ethical, community-oriented Christian Engineers who will play a key role in effective design, improvement, installation, operation and maintenance of integrated physical, technological, economic and social systems, situated either locally or internationally.
Specifically, the department aims:
- To become an instrument in the formation of civil engineering professionals who will not compromise their deeply-embedded Catholic norms in any decision/s or action/s that promotes selfish gains contrary to the moral and legal rights of a client, an employer, the profession and the larger society.
- To instill positive work values, necessary for the rendering of quality service in any place of work that promotes the attainment of a noble set of ideals and aspirations;
- To take an active role in the pursuit of ecological concerns, ensuring that modernization goes hand-in- hand with the protection and preservation of the environment;
- To motivate graduates, not to merely stand as reactive to the accelerating pace of technological advancement, but who, out of a genuine desire to build a better world, would emerge as proactive, advocative, agents and participants of positive change;
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING
Background
The Department of Electronics Engineering, under the College of Engineering and Architecture, aims to produce competent, ethical, community-oriented Christian Engineers who will play a key role in effective design, improvement, installation, operation and maintenance of integrated physical, technological, economic and social systems, situated either locally or internationally.
Specifically, the department aims:
- To produce Electronics Engineers equipped with moral and professional values and awareness to the needs of the society and the immediate community they are about to serve;
- To provide Electronics Engineer Students with the knowledge on electronics and electric circuit analysis and other Engineering Principles, Concepts and Methods for them to apply on development of innovative applications, such as automation and robotics;
- To provide the students with an education in the fundamentals of electronics engineering that will allow him to be immediately competitive in industry or in graduate work while providing him with the best opportunity for achieving his full potential during his lifetime.
- To develop a sense of professional responsibility and social awareness and provide practical applications as evidenced by laboratory, design, project study, computer exercises and practicum.
