12 Oct UA Faculty, Students Bound For South Korea

Nine UA professors and students will participate in the Global Leadership and Management Camp in South Korea on October 12-17, 2022.
Dr. Michaella D. Castillo, Prof. Fidela R. Balajadia, faculty of the School of Business and Public Administration, Dr. Jovie D. Bondoc of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Engr. June C. Musngi of the College of Engineering and Architecture will engage with other professors from universities in South Korea, Nepal, Mongolia, Cambodia, and the Philippines.
Hosted by the Handong Global University’s UNESCO-UNITWIN Program, this six-day camp is aimed at strengthening the capacity of the faculty and students to promote sustainable development by sharing visions and insights on social innovation fields.
Meanwhile, the UA-BSIT Team that copped the Championship award during the HGU’s International Business Venture Competition held on October 21, 2021, will present their winning research project to the camp participants on October 16, 2022. The team comprises Alaina Louise G. Payawal, Portia G. Medina, Kyle Ash Ezequiel D. Macabanti, and Gabriel L. Salangsang. They will be accompanied by one of their faculty coaches, Prof. Edwin D. Torres.
This academic camp is sponsored by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea and the Hadong Global University’s UNESCO-UNITWIN Program.
It is also interesting to note that this camp is an enrichment activity in the ongoing HGU-UA UNESCO-UNITWIN Social Creatinnovation Program that involves Dr. Castillo, Prof. Balajadia, Dr. Bondoc, and Engr. Musngi with 20 BSBA, BSHM, and BSIE students for the first and second semesters of AY 2022-2023.
