
05 Jul UA BSIT and BLIS Students Attend Talk from Wyith Institute
University of the Assumption students who are taking up Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and Bachelor of Library and Information Science attended a seminar on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency on June 27, 2019 at the College AVR.
Dr. Raymond Cheng, CEO and Executive Director of Wyith Institute of HongKong, discussed the use of cryptocurrency in health, medicine, information, business and others.
Dr. Joey Suba, Dean of the College of Information Technology, Computing and Library Science said that the University has been inviting speakers from other countries to deliver talks that would educate the students of topics relevant to their programs .
“These seminars are beneficial for our learners to update their knowledge on the trend in information especially in the global setting. This also contributes to our internationalization as an educational institution,” said Suba.
On the same day, UA signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Wyith on student mobility program.
