12 Mar UA HRM and TM Studes Grab Awards in Skills Competition
University of the Assumption BS Hotel and Restaurant Management and BS Tourism Management students won awards in several categories during the Central Luzon Hospitality and Tourism Skills Competition 2018 held in Angeles City, Pampanga on February 28.
Participants from thirteen schools in Central Luzon competed in various hospitality categories included in the skills competition.
Among the UA participants who won were:

Mr. Ruben Lingat, Dean of the College of Hotel and Restaurant Management, and College of Tourism Management, expressed his delight with the students’ achievements.
“I’m glad that our students participated and did their best in the skills competition. Our representatives are all first-timers and yet they were able to snatch these awards,” said Lingat.
According to him, though the students had little time to practice, still they were motivated to compete. “Our students even expressed interest to explore and join more competitions similar to this one,” Lingat added.
Other categories participated by UA HRM and TM students were poultry cookery, bartending, tour Guiding, tour packaging, flight attendant showmanship, hospitality and tourism quiz bee, and Mr. and Ms. Hospitality Region III.
The Central Luzon Hospitality and Tourism Skills Competition 2018 was organized by the Council of Hotel & Restaurant Educators of the Philippines (COHREP) Region III.
