12 Mar UA BSIT Grad Shares Expertise in Seminar
An alumnus of the College of Computing Sciences and Information Technology (CCSIT) returns to UA to share his knowledge and expertise to IT students.
Joseph Donn Penuliar who graduated with a degree in Information Technology, Cum Laude, in 2015 discussed “Web Application Frameworks and Data Structures Fundamentals” and other related topics during a seminar attended by BSIT students of UA on February 23, 2018.
Penuliar who is currently working with PRO Unlimited and Facebook and a Python Fullstack Developer centered his talk on the process of developing website using algorithms and data structures.
“He wanted to give back to the University by sharing his knowledge and giving some words to the students that will help them as future IT professionals” said Dr. Joey Suba, Dean of CCSIT.
Suba added that he knew from way back when Penuliar was still a student that he will succeed in his chosen career since he showed maturity and responsibility and excelled in class performance.
“I remember him, back then, doing his capstone project independently which was supposed to be a group work,” said Suba. He said that he is proud of the achievements of Penuliar and other graduates of the BSIT program of UA since many of them are connected with leading companies in the field.
“Actually, we have graduates working in well-known companies like Google, Facebook and HP. And I think what sets our graduates apart from other job-seekers are the values and good attitude the university instilled in them besides their skills, of course,”
