01 Feb UA Enters Agreement with UPI for Initiative Project
A memorandum of agreement was signed between University of the Assumption (UA) and Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Faculty of Mathematics and Science Education on January 12, 2018 in Bandung, Indonesia to develop a project in the framework of education and research.
UA and UPI agreed to collaborate on a research project entitled “Teaching Simulator,” which is dynamic game-based program where users can engage in a teaching and learning process through a virtual classroom.
Dr. Joey Suba, dean of the College of Computing Sciences and Information Technology, said that the collaboration will open doors for both institutions in developing their research and development capabilities.
“Not only that, we have also talked about faculty research in different fields. In terms of student exchange, that is for future plans. For now, it’s the research collaboration project,” Suba added
Said MOA is the first research undertaking under the memorandum of understanding between the two parties signed in February last year.
Alongside the signing, Dr. Suba was also invited as a resource speaker for UPI computer science, math and science students.. “I shared to them the best practice that we do in our college (CCSIT) using LMS (Learning Management System). I talked about the benefits in delivering lessons via internet and emphasized it as supplementary in learning,” Suba said.
