UA Signs MOU with Namseoul University

University of the Assumption signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Namseoul University
to develop academic partnership and cooperation. The MOU signing was held on September 14, 2017
at the university board room.

The partnership enables the two higher education institutions to develop programs in the areas of student and faculty exchanges, joint research activities and degree programs.

In his statement, Father Joselito Henson, UA president, said that UA is looking forward that the MoU will be beneficial to both parties in terms of academic and research collaboration.

“We are opening the doors of our University for partnerships because it is important for our
development and relevant changes… I hope this will be the start of a fruitful partnership between our Universities,” said Henson.

For his part, Dr. Sean (Kwan Soo) Shin, Dean of Global Education Institute of Namseoul University thanked UA for the partnership and expressed his desire to immediately start with the student exchange program that will give the students proper exposure the cultures of the Philippines and South Korea and, in the process, enforce the knowledge they gain in classrooms.

The event was attended also by Fr. Victor Nicdao, VP for Administration; Dr. Mediatriz Martin, VP for Academic Affairs; Ms. BelinaKatigbak VP for Finance; Dr. Joey Suba, Dean of the College of Computing Sciences and Information Technology; Ms. Khriselle Anne Castillo, Quality Management Officer; and Mr. Fernando Santos, Director of External Affairs and Media Office.Also present during the signing was Country Coordinator of Namseoul Global Outreach Program Ms.Elena Dumangas .

Namseoul University, established in 1993, is a private higher education institution located in Cheonan South Chungcheong, South Korea. It is committed to developing competent students by nurturing research and technology and providing students with higher and life-long learning .
