16 Aug UA Registers 100% Passing Rate in the 2017 Guidance Counselor Licensure Exams
The University of the Assumption got a 100% passing rate in the Guidance Counselor Licensure
Examinations in August 2017. This was announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on
August 7, a week after the last day of the exams.
The new licensed Guidance Counselors are Ms. APRIL MAYO MADERAS April, Ms. MARINELLEE TIGLAO
MONTOYA and Ms. MICHELLE FAJARDO OCAMPO. All of them were first time takers.
Since the opening of the MAGC program in the Graduate School in 2009, UA has maintained a 100%
passing rate in the annual board exams except in 2010 because there were no UA graduates who took
the exams. In 2011, UA produced one national placer, Ms. Glaiza Ann L. Dizon who ranked 4th.
Dr. Ruth Balajadia, dean of the Graduate School, credits the core courses mentors – Dr. Edna
Calma and Prof. Leila Luz Caballa – for the success of the program.
Hail, Assumption!
