23 Jun UA Nursing Grads Top Board Exam
Among the 3,882 passers of the June 2017 nursing board examination, two Assumptionists were once again included in the list of the topnotchers.
Ana Kimberly Clarin and Benedict Tantengco, graduates of class 2017, dominated the 13 th and 19 th places in the board exam ranking respectively. Clarin registered a rating of 83% while Tantengco got 81.8%.
According to them, their college and instructors at UA had contributed big to their skills and learning. Tantengco said that what has been taught to him in the institution was a “fundamental building block” for him to be able to perform well in the board exam.
Clarin, also a mother of two, shared that juggling motherhood, schooling and reviewing for the examination was challenging but, “it was never a hindrance to achieving your dreams, in fact these made victory sweet,” she said.
The two also gave advice to nursing students who aspire to top the exam. For Tantengco, he said that mind-conditioning and thinking positive thoughts are helpful “I always say to myself ‘There’s no way I’m going to fail this’… I claimed that I will be a topnotcher,” he said. While Clarin advised to “Rise above your doubts, anxieties, and fears.”
UA Nursing graduates registered a 78.57% first-timers’passing rate and 34.74% national passing rate. The other board passers are:
