14 Feb UA Enters Academic Partnership with Indonesian University
Members of the University of the Assumption executive committee and faculty members were present during the MoU signing with the academic representatives of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
To establish a mutual cooperation in academic activities, University of the Assumption (UA) and Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on February 1, 2017.
The MoU has been made and entered by both parties to strengthen the ties in research collaborations, promote teacher and student trainings, and to facilitate academic and cultural exchanges which will be valuable for the involved institutions.
According to Dr. Joey Suba, dean of UA College of Computing Sciences and information Technology and the leadoff of the MoU with UPI, they are looking forward to the development and implementation of a Memorandum of Agreement following the MoU, so that they may officially be able to start with specific projects.
“Hopefully, we could develop the MoA this year particularly on the internship program of our (UA) students at UPI so that they may also have theirs here, that could be part of the student and faculty exchange which is included of the understanding,” said Dr. Suba.
Moreover, he explained that part also of the mutual cooperation is the possibility of developing softwares which would be useful for teachers and students to monitor and enhance their lessons.
The MoU was signed by Rev. Fr. Joselito Henson, UA President and Prof. Furqon, UPI Rector.
Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia is a multi-campus state university located in Bandung, West Java Indonesia founded in 1954. It is an educational institution accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia.
