13 Dec UA Grade School is PAASCU Level III Accredited
The University of the Assumption Grade School (UAGS) has been granted level-III accreditation by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU).
The level-III accreditation attests not only to the high standard of instruction of UAGS but also to the achievement and performance of students in both academic and co-curricular activities and the high level of competency of the teachers. It is a testament to the high standard of instruction in the UA Grade School and a well-developed mechanism for curriculum upgrading. It recognizes the capability of the UA Grade School to promote effectiveness of teaching and learning.
Along with the PAASCU level-III accreditation are the benefits given to UAGS including the permission for a “full curricular autonomy, including the authority to innovate without need for prior approval provided that the concerned DepED Regional Office is duly informed,” and “grant of full autonomy including freedom from visitation, inspection and/or supervision by DepED supervisory personnel or representatives for the duration of its Level III accredited status,” as stated in DepEd Order 32 s. 2006.
PAASCU, one of the founding members of the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP), accredits academic programs which meets the standards of quality education such that of the University of the Assumption.
This accreditation which was released on December 12, 2016 is effective until December 2020.
