UA Teachers Surpassed National Passing Rates in Sept. 2016 LET

University of the Assumption takes prideof the new teachers who passed the September 2016 Licensure Examination (LET). UA has attained an overall passing rate of 46.43% for elementary level and 43.94% for the secondary-level teachers; both surpassing the national passing rates. Among the elementary-level first-timers, 78.57% passed while 64.44% secondary-level first-time takers passed the board exam.

“We are very happy because for the past five consecutive years, we were always above the national passing rate,” said Dr. Dexter Balajadia, dean of the College of Education.

Dean Balajadia also shared that even before graduation, students are prepared for the board examination through free reviews and exam simulation exercises. “We prepare our students and motivate them especially on the psychological (aspect),” added Balajadia.

He mentioned that the department does not have any problem regarding the employment of the recent LET passers since even before graduation, most of the them have been accepted in different institutions.

“I could expect more because I know their capabilities, I know their potentials and they could achieve more from what they have started.”
