08 Dec UA Launches “Paskuhan king Assumption 2016”
Christmas officially started in the University of the Assumption on December 5, 2016 with the annual Paskuhan king Assumption..
The festivity was attended by the whole UA community who participated in the program and enjoyed the entertainment. One of the highlights of Paskuhan king Assumption 2016 was the lantern-making competition which showcased student-crafted native lanterns made from scrap and recycled materials. The College of Hospitality and Restaurant Management (CHRM) emerged as the winner with the Senior High School and College of Tourism Management tailing for the second and third prizes, respectively.
Another most awaited part was the lighting of the giant Christmas tree at the UA façade embellished with Christmas lights and decorations.
Carols and dance presentations were rendered by the members of the UA Performing Arts for the gleeful audience.
Part also of the program was the launching of the 54 th UA Founding Anniversary logo and the unveiling of the schedule of activities for the two-day event on January 12 and 13, 2017.
Filled with music and celebration, the program ended with a colorful fireworks display.
