UA and Siena Heights University Sign MoU for Academic Ties

To establish cooperation in the field of education, University of the Assumption and Siena Heights University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on October 3, 2016.

UA and Siena Heights University agree to collaborate in the areas of academic programs, administration, research and development, and cultural affiliation.

Siena Heights University, according to its website, “is a Catholic university founded in 1919 and sponsored by the Adrian Dominican Sisters. Enrolling a diverse community of traditional-age and working adult students, Siena Heights is a coeducational North Central accredited institution founded in the liberal arts tradition, offering associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s and specialist’s degrees. The University is headquartered in Adrian, Michigan.”

The MoU was signed by Fr. Joselito Henson, UA President and Sister Peg Albert, Siena Heights University President.

In the MOU, both parties are to exercise efforts in attaining various goals such as the promotion of academic programs for different degree levels; development of learning resources; cultural exchange through special events like cultural tours and student camps; and other opportunities in research and extension services that are mutually beneficial to both universities.

Further undertakings and specific projects will be discussed and outlined in the forthcoming agreements that will be entered into between the UA and Siena Heights University.
