11 Oct College of Education Hosts One-Day Sports League
Athletes from different schools participated in the “UA MAPEH Invitational One-day Sports League” hosted by University of the Assumption College of Education (COE) at the Bishop Emilio Cinense gymnasium October 7, 2016.
Facilitated by BEEd and BSEd 4 th year students, the activity was participated by Colegio de Sebastian, Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University (DHVTSU), and Meycauyan Colleges who tried to outdo each other in basketball.
Ms. May Flores, chairperson of MAPEH Department, said that the one-day league has been happening for several years as part of the outcomes-based education being taught to education students. To hasten their sports officiating and management skills, they organize the event which is a friendly match between colleges and universities in Central Luzon.
In the past years, there have been various athletic events featured in the league including individual, dual and team sports.
Flores mentioned that they intend to continue the activity and hope to invite more schools to participate since it provides an arena for athletes to meet their counterparts from other college varsities.
