The students were joined by their thesis professor Dr. Melanie Briones in the conference which was organized by Ontario College for Research and Development.

“We are really grateful to our professors and advisers for giving us the chance and challenged us to get there. It was an unforgettable experience. The place was filled with foreign experts, then, there we were – Filipinos, Assumptionists.” said Sarah Mae Lugtu.

The two papers authored by the AB Comm students were published in the Canadian International Journal of Social Science and Education in July 2016.

Topics that were presented, according to Dr. Edna Calma, Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, were “very relevant in today”. “They got international attention because of their relevance,” she said.
