26 Aug College of Education is the Grand Winner in 2016 Marian Choral Competition
The members of the College of Education Choir with VPA Fr. Victor S. Nicdao, COE Dean Dr. Dexter Balajadia and conductor Mr. Jericho Nino Torres.
The College of Education (COE), under the baton of Mr. Jericho Nino Torres, won the Grand Prize and Best Choice Piece award in the 2016 Marian Chorale Competition on August 22, 2016. The competition is an annual activity of the UA Chorale to celebrate the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, patroness of the University of the Assumption.
COE got the nod of the jury for their beautiful interpretation of “INAY” by Arnel Aquino, SJ which was arranged for the competition by Mr. Rey Quizon and My Life in You by Arnold Zamora.
Meanwhile, the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) and the College of Business Administration (CBA) ranked second and third, respectively. The other choirs who participated were from the Senior High School (UASHS), College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) and College of Accountancy (COA).
