10 Aug UA and SACOP Sign Memorandum of Understanding

University of the Assumption (UA) President Fr. Joselito C. Henson and Social Action Center of Pampanga (SACOP) Executive Director Fr. Kenneth D. Alde signed a Memorandum of Understanding on July 1, 2016 to establish cooperation in the areas of research anddevelopment and extension services.

University President Fr. Joselito C. Henson said that the agreement is important because it seals a partnership which is ultimately beneficial to the people of Pampanga.

Under the agreement, the UA Research and Planning Office headed by Dr. Arnel T. Sicat will be the research and development unit of SACOP. Meanwhile, the latter will serve as the extension arm of the university.

Fr. Alde acknowledged the significance of the collaboration of the two (2) archdiocesan institutes. “Our synergy will allow us to put our actions together and develop integrative actions for the benefit of the people,” he said.

UA is an archdiocesan catholic university administered by the Archdiocese of San Fernando and SACOP is the social arm of the archdiocese.
